Vectors and Textures

Some more vector work that utilises raster-images for texture overlays:

**These images rely heavily on raster effects for things like
the glowing light & the shadows (Gaussian blur + various blend modes)

Background texture images utilise blend modes like
Soft Light, Overlay, Colour Burn and Luminosity...

I rarely use them at full strength. The final result is usually made up of
a combination of 2 or 3 effects, each applied at 20%-30% opacity.

Vectors and Graphic Styles

Vector-based artwork demonstrating different graphic styles suitable for text.

The examples below make use of Illustrator's appearance manager (custom styles),
custom art brushes, gradient fills, built-in blend modes and raster effects**

All work is vector artwork, with some "raster effects" applied.
**Raster Effects used include: 'Drop Shadow' and 'Guassian Blur'

Portfolio in Progress

I have finally started collating my images and videos to create an online portfolio (here). This collection represents a selection of my art and design projects; both past and present, all in one unified place.

Please feel free to browse via my Portfolio page where you can see a complete list of content. Or you can just select the pages directly from the menus.

I have created work in many mediums. Here, my work is organised by:

      Stop Motion Cutout Style

SALA Exhibition 2012      Feeney's Raku Clay

I will continue to add new artwork, images and projects to this site. So keep your eyes peeled for new content as it pops up ;)

That's all for now... happy browsing!

My Latest Work Now in SALA Festival 2012

The most recent of my creations have found their way onto the walls of a trendy clothing store called Aqua Boutique in Norwood. Co-existing with the present shop fitout, my characters sit comfortably in between an array of colourful deer-heads, and they appear to be quite at home up there:

There are lots of other venues throughout the area hosting brilliant artwork by local artists, so if you are anywhere near Norwood during the month of August you should definitely check them out. If you are not near Norwood, then I suggest you make a trip out there, it is definitely worth a visit!

This colourful collection of creative characters (created by me) will be up until the 31st of August, so don't miss out on seeing them in person while you have the opportunity!

Felt Girl Cutout

This is a project that I have just begun. The idea was to turn one of my sketches into a textured collage. I plan to animate the face using a paper cutout technique.

Face, Hair and Body are made from felt.
Eyes, Eyebrows, Nose and Mouths were cut from coloured card.
Dress is made from an aluminium easter-egg wrapper.

Set of replacement mouths and eyes that will be used to animate her face.

Animation coming soon...
